arrangement caused these scholarships to lapse at the

end of 1897.

There are a varying number of Scholar-

ships, at present four, held by students from the Belilios

Scholarship Trusts, established by the Honourable E. R.

Belilios C.M.G., varying in value from $40 to $100,

and tenable for five years.

There are three Goverment Scholar-

ships of $40 each, tenable for three years, and open to third year's students not holding any other scholarship.

The fees and scholarships described

constitute the whole resources and endowment of the

College.

The government and the entire control

-

and management of all affairs, concerns, and property

connected with the College, are vested in a Court, consist-

ing of the following. The Rector, elected by the General

Council and the students conjointly every two years; the

Rector's Assessor, nominated by the Rector; the Standing

Counsel of the College, appointed by the Court; the

Dean, representing the Senate; a representative of the General Council; a representative of the Alice Memorial

and Nethersole Hospitals; and the Secretary appointed

by the Court.

The Rector as Chairman of the Court

is the executive head of the College. The successive
